Medj-Diunet-Full Moon Feast
Tonight, at sundown, we will be honoring the god Thoth, again, Hathor, again, and Osiris. We will be giving offerings to the blessed dead and to these three gods. I hope that you will enjoy this lunar festival as the month is slowly coming to a close.

Bouphonia (2016)
Tonight, at sundown, is the festival of Bouphonia. This festival is for Zeus Polieus or the guardian of the city of Athens and the last one for the Athenian month and year. He had a small shrine to him near the temple of Athena but that has been lost to time. I do hope that, one day, it will be found. I hope that you all have a good ritual and may Zeus bless you.

Skira (2016)
Tonight, at sundown, I will be celebrating Skira which is a festival for women to honor the goddess Demeter. She's the grain goddess, the mother to Persephone, and a very important goddess for farmers. She is really important because it's her power that makes things grow. So I will be giving her offerings and thanking her for the bounty that she's producing. Have a good ritual everyone and may Demeter bless all farmers.

What Happened in Florida
Early yesterday morning a man shot up a popular gay nightclub called Pulse in Orlando. It was almost closing time and it was going to soon be time for everyone to leave. 50 people, and counting, have died. At once the hate against Muslims came out as it usually does when Muslims kill others. What can we do as Polytheists when something like this happens? Simple! We look at what energies are at work here. If you practice Egyptian paganism then the demon snake of chaos is at work here.
If you do Hellenic practices then Eris is at work or some nasty minor god is working. We can't allow hate to take over our thoughts and we can't allow those harmful energies to come into our lives. We have to get rid of them and we have to pray to our gods that healing will take place. Hate against Muslims is for Christians to do or for those that want to blame an entire group of people for the actions of one man. We must also say this.
Gays will still be looked at with hate. No matter how much progress is done there will still be people out there, Muslim and Christian, that want gays dead. They don't like them and they celebrate anyone that has the nerve to put them six feet under. It's not right and it's not something that I like seeing on the TV. I don't like seeing video of dead bodies and bleeding, injured, people. It's sickening and disgusting. And these feelings have nothing to do with the fact that I have a gay friend.
Terrorist attacks are wrong and it targets people that don't even know the person doing it. We can't praise and thank whatever god that we believe in that it happened. Healing is the next step and asking our gods to help the healing process. So I will be giving an offering to Hermes so that he can guide their souls to the land of the dead. To the halls of Hades and lovely Persephone. May their souls find rest in the land of the dead or in the field of reeds.

This Heat is Getting to Me
Yesterday was supposed to be a time to honor the gods Poseidon and Theseus as well as the Feast of Apip. However I was only able to do the Feast of Apip. The reason for this is the heat. It's not even Summer and the heat has come around with a vengeance. See I have an AC in my window that blows in cold air. That's the only way that I can actually be in my room and not die from the heat.
So I had to make a choice and decided to do the Feast of Apip. I was also doing it for others that might not know what my version of the ritual looks like. Anyway, the heat has forced me to make a choice and it's not something that I like having to do. However the ritual went through well and I enjoyed myself. I think that I'm going to have this problem for many years to come and that sucks.

Feast of Apip (2016)
Tonight, or the next day, will be the Feast of Apip. We celebrate Tawent and and Amun. Tawent is in the form of Apip and Amun is here because he's mentioned. This feast has no records except for one that says that it was celebrated so I had to pretty much create it from scratch, which wasn't easy. I hope that you have a good one and may the gods bless you.
Honoring Poseidon and Theseus
At sundown, tonight, I will be turning my attention to Poseidon and Theseus, marking the end of the holy days and marking the beginning of festivals and feasts to the gods. Poseidon is the god of the seas and the god of earthquakes and Theseus is his son and one of the first heroes of Greek mythology. Theseus slayed the Minotaur and became King of Athens after his mortal father thought that his son had died.
Yes, you heard me right. Theseus had two fathers. It's all complicated! I hope that you have a good ritual and may the gods bless you.

Libations to Zeus (2016)
Before the sun goes down I will be honoring the god Zeus by giving him a libation in his honor. I follow the Hellion libation calendar and June is his month. Zeus is King of the Gods, husband to Hera, and the father of gods, men, and demigods. I do hope that you'll have a wonderful libation and that Zeus will bless you.
Denit and Honoring Apollo
Tonight, at sundown, will be both Denit and honoring the god Apollo. Denit centers around Thoth and Hathor. We give them offerings, pray to them, and pour out libations to them. For Apollo we give him offerings and libations. Just like with Senut I will be celebrating Denit tonight and tomorrow giving offerings to Apollo. I hope that you all have a good one.

Senut and Honoring Artemis
Tonight, at sundown, will be Senut and also honoring the goddess Artemis. I will be doing my Senut ritual tonight and then my Artemis ritual during the day. I'm doing this so that the ritual won't be super long and I don't get tired out. Senut is a time that we honor the gods Isis and Osiris, thanking them and giving them offerings. Artemis is the Greek goddess of the Hunt, childbirth, and the sister to Apollo. I hope that you all will have a good ritual, or rituals, and be blessed.

The New Threat Against Polytheism
One of the things that I've noticed is this belief that there's a new threat against Polytheism by those that aren't Christian. Just like it was with the Christians. However this belief is well founded in the here and now and I want to spend time talking about it. Back when Christianity had firmly developed as a powerful force in the ancient world their target was the pagans. They would later on target Jews and Muslim due to their non-belief in Christ.
Hundreds of thousands of people that believed in the old gods were killed and society entered the dark ages when advancements didn't take place and everyone was pretty much filthy and unable to read or write. Of course there were times that people bathed but the technology that allowed clearer people was lost. Polytheists did all these things. Made huge advancement in many areas and lived in towns that were able to hold large groups of people.
The new threat comes from the children of Christians that view their way to be the only way. Anti-Theists, or those that hate everything to do with religion, have come out in full force against religion. Usually their target are the three 'book' religions but they have made it clear that any group that believes in anything are fair game. To them we are all backwards, back wood, unintelligent, hicks that believe in some sky father and need to be shown the way and to come over to their way of thinking.
This is why their far more dangerous than Christianity could ever of been. They use the so-called 'separation of church and state' to attack religious beliefs and practices that aren't confined to a church or a house. Polytheists are more in-danger of this as we do our rituals anywhere that we can, no matter if anyone doesn't like it. Anti-theists want a country that is so secular that any displays of religion are outlawed. Any devotional necklaces, any special clothes, no anything.
What will happen if they get their way and we become like France? What will happen if they call the police on us because we are pouring libations to Pan? Or what if a teen that's a Polytheist is wearing a devotional necklace to Hecate or Athena. Heck even one to the Norse gods. What will happen if the teacher tells that teen that his/her necklace violates the law? Polytheists need to be on the defensive as this is our traditions that are right up next for the chopping block.
And don't think that just because we're small that we can't be affected. Both Christian and Secular worlds are as much of a danger to the return of Polytheistic beliefs. And as we get more and more visible both groups will be on the attack, just like Christianity is still attacking Wicca. However it will be the anti-theists that will be the one that will be ready to burn the books again.

Sorry About Not Blogging
I know that there are many people that blog, take breaks, and then when they come on they don't even say that their sorry about not blogging or explain why they haven't blogged. Thankfully when people do video's they explain or apologize for not making videos in like a year. I think that's something that needs to be expected in blogging. So I'm on here to say that I'm sorry about not blogging.
It's been a rough couple of months, with my mother breaking her arm, and having to take care of her. I'm not upset about having to do that, it's just that it's very tiring to have to do it. Also I haven't really been in the mood to come on here and blog. However that's going to change. If I feel like I'm not in the mood to blog I will, at least, blog and say that I won't be on for a time. That's the least that I can do for anyone that comes on here and reads my posts.
Tomorrow will be another Egyptian lunar festival as well as honoring the goddess Artemis. I look forward to blogging more on here.

Why I Have This Blog
So yesterday I was on Wordpress, the one that has a ton of themes, and the site wasn't working the way that it should. And, so, I decided to have this blog just in-case Wordpress acts up. However I do intend to also post entries here as well. I really do hate that about wordpress, sometimes. They have a ton of really great themes but sometimes the site likes to act up or, worst, be slow. Another thing that I don't like about Wordpress is that you have to make sure that your blog post is in by 8 or it will post for the next day, which is really annoying.
At least, with this one, I have time to do a good post and not have to worry about it posting on the wrong day. Personally I don't know if I'm going to stick with Wordpress or just use this one. I'll have to see how it pans out.

Pandia (2016)
Tonight is Pandia, which is dedicated to Lord Zeus. Even though I
honor the goddess Hecate I will also honor Lord Zeus. Below is info
about this holiday and I hope that you enjoy it. Another thing that I
would like to note is that this is the last Hellenic holiday before the
New Moon, when we honor Hecate again.
In Greek mythology, the goddess Pandia (Greek: Πανδία) or Pandeia (Πανδεία), meaning “all brightness”,[1] was a daughter of Zeus and the goddess Selene, the Greek personification of the moon.[2] From the Homeric Hymn to Selene, we have: “Once the Son of Cronos [Zeus] was joined with her [Selene] in love; and she conceived and bare a daughter Pandia, exceeding lovely amongst the deathless gods.”[3] An Athenian tradition made Pandia the wife of Antiochus, the eponymous hero of Antiochis, one of the ten Athenian tribes (phylai).[4]
Originally Pandia may have been an epithet of Selene,[5] but by at least the time of the late Homeric Hymn, Pandia had become a daughter of Zeus and Selene. Pandia (or Pandia Selene) may have personified the full moon,[6] and an Athenian festival, called the Pandia, probably held for Zeus,[7] was perhaps celebrated on the full-moon and may have been connected to her.

What It Means to be a Egyptian Hellenist
Before I start this blog I will like to say this. Being an Egyptian Hellenist isn't popular with the 'purest' that practice Hellenism and Kemeticism. They ignore the period of time that Egypt became a Hellenized country and I do believe that we still live in a Hellenic world. Now to the post.
What does it mean to be a Egyptian Hellenist or a Greco-Egyptian Polytheist Pagan? To me it's honoring two pantheons, which I love. Both cultures have wonderful myths and stories. One culture just happens to have heroes that did wonderful things. Practicing this path continues the wonder that Alexander the Great started. I see nothing wrong with being a Egyptian Hellenist and I haven't had anyone complain to me about it.
Once again, I love both Pantheons and I don't see a problem following this very wonderful path.
